Jack built and exited a fitness technology startup, Membr.com. It was founded after he saw a gap in the market working as a personal trainer in 2012. What started as solving a problem in his personal training business turned into one of the biggest gym software businesses in Europe with customers in nearly 30 counties across the world. During his time as founder and CEO Jack was responsible for business strategy, key commercial activity and fundraising. Over a 10 year period Membr raised close to £10m before being acquired by Advent Int backed, US based software business Xplor technologies. Membr’s investors included a large network of angels, three VC’s and a strategic investors giving Jack an insight into many different ways to fund a startup. Jack now supports startups with personal capital, his network of investors and mentoring founders to help grow the next wave of founder lead businesses - which is where is passion lies.
